I thought 535s suppose to run 13.5? maybe you should raise the tire pressure and try again.

Whoo hoo! I installed my Sprintbooster (thx Andy!) yesterday morning without any error codes. One thing to for those of you installing a SB, make sure to match the numbers inside the housings of the accelerator and the SB. Had it installed in 5 mins and was headed out to the racetrack.

My car only has 1700 miles on it (delivered 3/18/08) and other than the SB, is a stock car. The weather was a sunny and a cool 74 F, with winds N at about 11 mph. We actually had strong headwinds coming down the track which dropped everybody's time a bit. Hopefully the next time we track, the winds will be behind us instead of in front.

I had my front tires at 34 psi and my rears at 30 psi. Any suggestions as to what psi I should be running on these RFT's at the track?

Out of 4 runs, my 2nd run turned out to be the best. I had the best reaction time (yes, half a tenth of a second!) and fastest quarter mile (almost flat 14 seconds). I'm pretty sure that had the winds been behind us or gone entirely, I could have finished in the high 13's.

Once I get my SSTT and BMC filter put in and my Vredestein tires on, I'll give an update on my track times. I'm shooting for mid 13's.

I too thought the 535's were in the 13's. Aren't the 545's in the High 13's?

Vadim, raising his tire pressure is going to make his rear tires more susceptible to spinning. Generally, lowering the tire pressure will provide a larger contact patch with the track but more importantly give more flex to the tire's sidewall helping it not to be so stiff and therefore not spin as much.

Agree with the high tire pressure, but i think he has it a little on the low side, which will also cause slow times.
I know 335i can run a 13.3 stock, 535 is only 200 lbs more, and I believe has the same gearing, so it should run no worse than 13.5. Maybe it was the wind

But what if the tires are RF's?

Good Question. Not sure how that works as the sidewall for RFT's is already re-inforced and stiffened. Then again, I don't think RFT's were meant for racing. Don't get me wrong, I would take my car to the track, but would probably opt to leave the tire pressure where it is at. Can anyone else chime in for clarification?
