I realize this post is almost a yr old now....but maybe I'll get a reply. italia550's car obviously shows M5 mirrors added. WHY when I have called 2 BMW Dealers they both have told me the M5 mirror cannot be retrofitted to go on the 550. I have a hard time believing the door for the M5 is different then what is on the 550.
Someone please advise. I have seen other's cars on this site that have Hamann style mirrors. How are these different than the M5 (Besides carbon fiber underbelly)?

I would love to get a set of FULLY functional AW M5 Mirrors...I think they would be the perfect touch for my car....

I belive you can get spacers at many sources....
try jlevistreetwerks.com or tirerack may sell them.

love it dude...i want M5 mirrors sooo bad....
