ok for all you BusNav owners. After much help from Karm (cheers mate) I have finally got TMC working in my E60, sort of.

I say sort of as I only have half the puzzle. My car has got the software update to 13.1 but I now need a 2004 DVD. Even though I bought my car this year, the DVD I got with it was 2003-2 and I need at least 2004-1 or higher.

The dealer put a 2004-2 DVD in the car and sure enough TMC sprang into life.

Anyone in the UK who got a free 2004 DVD for BusNav got one they dont want or want to burn me a copy not expecting any offers but you never know. Actually do you think if you burnt a copy of the DVD it would work? or are the discs protected?

If i'd have known when I got the car 3 months ago that all i needed for TMC was 13.1 and a new DVD disc i would have tried to negotiate a more recent DVD in the sale....rats.

I was going to wait for the 2005-1 DVD to come out anyone know when that is available?

I'm trying to burn you a copy right now. I'm not much of an IT freak but if it works I'll send it to you.
Mine is 2004-2 btw

Like you said, you never know.

Does anyone know what the DVD's cost to replace? Do BMW upgrade them for free or a small charge?

I picked up my car last Friday and have the 2004/1 DVD, I should go back and ask for the 2004/2 one as I did specify that all software etc should be the latest version.

Flowerfred/northernmonkey, unfortunately that won't work because the Professional and Business Nav disks are different.

However, to save that DVD you burnt going to waste, you could send it to me and I'll reimburse your postage

The discs can be copied. I use a copy in mine. However It also depends on software in your car. Tried it in some cars built a littel while after mine and it would not work. I don't know if it is a sofware thing or different hardware put in the car.

The disks copy fine, but the Professional and Business Nav systems are incompatible
