you are always directed on bus nav, you have no choice.

are you saying that yours works, E60525d? my dealer said that that was the reason why it wouldn't be enabled.. .. :'(

so, Kigerka, with the US as part of your question, it depends upon whether or not TMC is provided in the US.

mine is not working, this is said in the manual. It will be working later this year for definate.

That is the thing I am in Germany for the next 22 months. If I can use TMC by having the Euro software installed; I want the software installed. TMC is on the disc, and it would be nice to avoid jams and what not ecspecially on long drives to places I am not familiar with.

I don't think BMW will give you the German software, since your car is not German spec. There are things in the US software and "hardware" that are different. I would bet they don't give you the German software...
