My Ride: GONE BUT NOT FOGOTTEN : 530d SE Auto : Titanium Grey / Anthracite Leather, Poplar Trim, 18in 123 Style Alloys, Adaptive Bi-Xenons, Business Nav, Hi-Fi Speaker Package, Heated seats, Split-Fold Rear Seats LR DISCO 3 HSE with everything (including 3 kids)

Having just been fobbed off by BMW (Cooper Reading) about TMC not being compatible with Business Nav, I wanted to gather some facts on how it is enabled before it goes back in in a couple of weeks for v15 s/w.

From reading earlier posts I understand that I need :

a) 2004 DVD (I have 2004-2)
b) SW Version 13.1 or later

During SW install all they need to do is to access the retrofit screen and enable TMC.

Is this all ? Can anyone give me a more detailed description.

Does anyone have any recent examples of this being done and who I could get the nice-folks at Coopers to talk to if they still cannot get it working.

See this thread. Yes TMC IS supported by Business Nav. I had software upgrade in December and it works fine. (It's not as useful as you might think though!)

Had mine activated by Benham Wolverhampton works with any 2004 dvd with bus nav. Just ask them to send a puma to Bracknell for instructions or go to another dealer!!
