That looks like Silver Gray Metallic. Is Titanium gray new for this year?

What is titanium gray? Haven't heard of that color. It's not available on the BMW web site.

Nice pics but you should choose a cleaner car next time.

Check out my interior pics atthis site.

Silver Gray is lighter than Titanium Gray.

Titanium Silver---->Lightest
Silver Gray-------->Medium
Titanium Gray----->Darkest

Titanium Gray is NOT a new color. BMW had it on the E65 7 series and have also had it on the E60 since day 1.

Titanium Gray has been offered on the E60 from the start and it IS on the all BMW Websites. It is the darkest shade of gray available on the E60:

Titanium Silver----->Lightest shade
Silver Gray--------->Medium Shade
Titanium Gray------>Darkest Shade

Acually I took pictures of two cars of the same color, but they were both dirty (it had rained the day before and they had not washed the cars well).

One reason I like it IS because there are not too many on the roads. Initially I liked the Silver Gray from the first BMW publicity photos and then seeing a fleet of Silver Gray E60's in person during the Cannes Film Fetival in France last May. I just loved Silver Gray back then, but as I saw more and more of them here in the US I changed my mind. Although I still think Silver Gray is a nice color I am not as enamored by it as before, and one reason is that there are too many of them around. And judging from the poll posted today in this forum there will be much more Silver Grays around in the future. As I write this the poll indicates 42.11% for Silver Gray and a four way tie for second place at 10.53% between Orient Blue, Black, Alpine White, and Titanium Gray.

I am still not completely sure that I will order the Titanium Gray, but if BMW NA does not accept my special order for Stratus Gray for a model year 2005 545i (and if there are not any new colors for 2005 that I like), I will probably get the Titanium Gray.
