I think tire choices are very personal. We all look for different things in terms of their performance and longevity. Goodyear, Bridgestone, Michelin, Continental... all good tires. So... to each his/her own!

I had Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 on my Z3 and they were OUTSTANDING, especially in the wet. Dry traction was phenomenal, and ride comfort was great. They were very quiet too. I have no problem recommending this tire. Another great one is Dunlop MAXX, very similar to GY, but less grippier in the wet.
