Hi guys,

I currently have Goodyear NCT5 Runflat tyres on the car but they need to be changed. im about to purchase a full set of 4 from blackcircles.com

However i have some questions :

1.) If i change to non runflats does this invalidate the warrenty?
2.) Im looking at Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...=Eagle+F1+GS-D3

Are these any good? I dont particularly want to fork out nearly 200 quid for the Michelin PS2's.
They look kinda 'cool' but having no experience of them i was wondering what you guys think.

3.) How much is a space saver and do i even have room in the boot for one (i havnt checked).

Thanks for your help guys!

Ironically the NCT5 runflat has just dissapeared from blackcircles site. Maybe this is a sign :s

1. Don't see that this could possibly be a warranty issue the rims and car are all ok for normal tyres.

2. I had the goodyear eagle f1's on my car and had to change them recently (back axle only) following a puncture. I now have the conti sport contact 2's which I think both grip and look much better - esp in the wet.

3. You've got room in the boot for the skinny pram wheel. They are quite pricy though - was a thread recently on this if you do a search.

Skinny wheel is @?150 from dealer, you will have to remove the foam storage tray from your boot.

I have the GS-D3's they are OK, I like the sound of the new Conti SC3's, well worth consideration.

It will not cause any problem with your warranty.

Get the tyres that are best for you. If you spend an extra ?100 on a set that lasts 2 years that is only ?1 per week. The saving is not worth worrying about compared to what you spend on tax, fuel and insurance !

Just curious. Are you replacing the GY NCT because you feel like it or they ran out?
If they ran out, after how many miles they ran out? thanks.

They ran out around 20kish.

ive done 30k on them tho and apart from being a little skitty at times (and its rare) im genuinely amazed at the level of grip and performance..

the rears are way way wayoverdue but ive been having some issues that meant i didnt particularly want to fork out 800 odd quid when i thought the car would be gone within a week or two and replaced.

however time has dragged on and for various reasons i cant go into im stuck with the car and they need changing.

Does anyone know if BMW agents will obtain to order and fit non RFTs? The reason I ask is that the so called best independent tyre co near me seems incapable of balancing my wheels and I always have to go back to the agents to get them balanced for a fee. Other sources of tyres seem limited and I've heard horror stories of damaged rims when the wrong equipment is used to remove RFTs.

GS-D3's are highly rated. Also consider Continental Sport Contact 2 or 3s if the price is right. PS2's are good but the most expensive...

About ?175 for UK dealer. You will have room... You have to do some minor surgery to get it to fit - the dealer did this for me...
