My car was completed last Friday the 22nd and has been waiting over a week at the port. What's with that? I thought shipment is within a week. Spoke with the dealer yesterday and confirmd it's still waiting. What have you experienced?

I know it's difficult but at least you can pass some of the time while watching the Red Sox parade! Good luck.

My car sat for almost 2 weeks before it was en route.

I am with you. It takes for 9 days from production to on board in my case. It is painful but the departure day will come to you soon.

It is getting a software upgrade, the BT connected or maybe even a new TCU.

They replaced a wheel and tire for me at VPC which held it up.

The Dept. of Agriculture also checks all cars.

being new at this I don't understand why they would be doing upgrades/fixes at the port after production. If so, makes you wonder about their manufacturing process. What's a TCU?

and yes I did pass most of today watching the Red Sox parade. I would have preffered to be driving my new 545 listening to it instead.

I don't believe they do any upgrades / fixes at port prior to shipment. I think it is done once it reaches whichever VPC it is going to.

Transport depends on whether your car is the first or the last one on the ship. I think my interval was only 3 days but it sat at the VPC for over 3 weeks.
