I had that a few times. Just ctrl-alt-del it. It seems to be resolved in the later software versions.

(the great thing is that it shuts up the seatbelt chime too )

I have had this happen twice as well. The last time my entertainment menu locked as well. The funny thing is that the menu displayed options I did not have, including TV and AUX.

Both times after the car sat for about 15 minutes or so all was fine at the next start up.

My entire sound went off the day I picked it up from the dealer from a software upgrade. After shutting off the car for approx 15 minutes, restarted it and everything worked fine again.

Same here. This probably happens to everyone. I see this happen once every 2 months or so and I am running software version 12.2. You have to just turn the car off for like 10-15 mins. (as mentioned above).

Problem seems to be fixed as far as I can see with the newest software (V13...). Since last week, I havn't had any problems (it was a more or less daily problem).

Thanks to all replies... but I had this the first time in 10 months (since I had the car) tried shutting off but nothing happen ... it is not going away... I am a computer engineer --so thanks on the reboot advice but I can't find the keyboard !!

I am not sure what version I am running.. so I guess I have to do the run to the illiterate dealer again ...

Looking at the bright side : apart from my unresolved issues of throttle response, squeeking noises in back and front, steering column not moving, vibrations at speed, noise from the active steering, wind noise from sunroof... I am very happy with the car .

Take note that I am in the middle east - Dubai.... :'(

Welcome aboard Jimmy,

You need a software update. Have the illiterate dealer upgrade you to the latest version, which is 13.3.

Throttle response, front steering column will be fixed by this. There are buletins on the rattles too. Carboflo helps.

Reboot means turn off the car for 15 minutes and restart.
