I recently replaced all four of the tires on my 530i sport because of exposed cord on the inside edges of the tires. The tires (Dunlop SP Sport 01 DSST) had over 22k miles, which I believe is good wear for the OEM-spec run-flats. However, the mechanic noted about 3/4 tread life remaining on the center and outside edges of the tires, and that an alignment to reduce any negative camber might help to even wear and extend the tire life.
As I commute 60+ miles/day, I would prefer to maximize tire life and avoid a $2,000 tire repair every 18 months.
Has anyone had a similar experience with heavy inside wear or made a camber adjustment as recommended by this mechanic to reduce wear on the inside edges of the tires?
Incidentally, I selected the Michelin Pilot A/S Plus to replace my Dunlops based on various forum/user ratings. In case anyone else is looking, the new Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires have very strong ratings. They would have been my first choice, but it appears they are on backorder until late February due to their popularity.

Yes I have read other a few threads where members have adjusted the factory set camber to decrease the uneven tire wear...
adjustment has been discussed a few times, here's what I found with a quick search
