My Ride: getting one now
Tire size question
Hey guys,
I have 2010 550i m-sport with everything factory (172m, suspension..etc) and I need to replace the rear tire. I replaced the front tire few months ago with 255/35/R19 and they look great. I was trying to check if I can set the rear on 285/35/R19? I'm getting really good deal but I don't know if it will work or not? Any rubbing? anyone have any idea or have tried this?
sorry if the answer for this exists l, I tried to search few board but haven't got a good answer.
Thanks

That rear tyre size is an M5 size, the correct would be 285/30R19. However, I believe it wouldn't rub with factory springs and 172 wheels, but it might look a bit goofy with a higher rear tyre wall height. The area where it usually rubs first is the area where the rear bumper and the body panel are connected together.
