My Ride: 2007 Sapphire Black Metallic 525i. Beige Dakota Leather, Premium package, bluetooth, BMW Assist, Xenon adaptive lights, Sirius radio
Unhappy

I hit a curb while turning. Did not damage the wheel at all, but, took a scoop out of the tire. Holding air fine. I would say the scoop is about the size of a quarter. Can this be repaired or is it time to get a new tire?
Gonna have to stick with the continentals because the other 3 are fine and do not want mismatched tires on the car.
looks like 150.00 plus install.
thanks,
Martin

I'm afraid a new tire is the only solution, for safety reasons.

Can it be repaired? Sort of. Are you gonna find a shop that will do it? Not a chance.

+1 ... if they're conventional tires (not RFT) a sidewall failure at speed can be deadly! Not worth the risk EVER! Might be a good time to shop for a basic wheel and tire insurance package.

I consider myself a cheap ass. I won't consider to repair it if it happened on my tire.
