I need help:

I purchased nice new wheels OEM 166 from TONY (QuAD_M) and I am very happy with his support and delivery/

For my new wheels I ordered new set of Tires from Costco last week.
Sizes are Front 245 /35R19 and Rear 285 /30R19.

I know I ordered both front and rear Michelin PS2. However after driving for 4 days today I noticed different markings in front and rear
and immediately checked the paperwork. The paper work says the front is indeed Michelin PS2 and rear Michelin AS.

The price difference is about $30 at the most. So it is not much saving.
> Can I argue and win to get Michelin PS2 even though my order was verbal?
> Can I just keep it?
> Is there any thing negative about Michelin AS?

Any comment is appreciated.

If AS = All Season there is a huge difference, the tyres should not be mixed.

I would most certainly complain. How that could slip through (also with you and your fitter) is debatable, so it might be a tough call.

Nevertheless, as good as this AS might be, there is NO all season tyre that can hold a candle to the specialist tyres for summer or winter

I called and explained to the section manager that there may have been a mis-understanding when I ordered these Tires.
The manager was very polite and understanding and ordered the replacement Tires for me immediately. He explained that
I may continue driving until the order arrives. I am also not paying the difference!

Thanks for the input so far.

Yes complain. Tires are religion on an E60.

It looks like Costco came through as expected...

(I'm just not sure I'd trust them mounting the tires on my wheels.)

Good result, just take it steady until they arrive.

The AS tyres will not grip the same as the PS2's in the dry, so the handling will be a little unpredicatble when pushed hard.

You can trust them to mount correctly, at least at the store that I went to. They had what appeared to be very high end gear that had rubber covers on the business ends to protect the wheels. I watched them replace my Bridgestone runflats with PS2's and the tech was very careful and did a great job. The balance is perfect at all speeds and the weights are invisible. As a plus, they fill with nitrogen instead of air and it makes a huge difference in how frequently you need to top off the pressure. I would not hesitate to go back.
