Do the tpm's go inside the tires and mount on the inside of the rim?

Yes, they mount to the rim and are part of the inside of the valve stem.

Had my local tire shop put them in my rims, but did not rebalance the wheels. They basically pushed the tire down, hooked up the sensor and rebeaded the tire without moving it on the rim. Now im thinking that the weight of the sensors may throw the balance off...anybody agree? Or should I not worry about it?

I would have had them balance the wheels anyway since they were off the car. Plus if you think about it, the wheel weights are in .25 increments so i am pretty sure that the sensors would have an effect on the balance.

good luck
