High pressure = rigid sidewall = better handling and less risk of wheel contact with road. (Sport feel)
Low pressure = softer sidewall = less responsive handling and more risk of wheel contact with road. (Comfort feel)
Plus size wheels should definitely use more pressure to protect wheel.
Some use the average of door jamb pressure and tire sidewall max pressure and adjust up and down from there.
