My Ride: E60 "Stripper"
Now C6 "Stripper"
I know Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's are pretty much the best all season tires available.
How are Toyo Proxes 4's or Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S's though?

Sorry, but I don't have any experience with the 3 tires you asked about. I gave up on all-season tires years ago because you end up with so-so performance year round. They are not great on dry pavement, they are not too good in the rain, and they suck in snow.
It costs more on the front end, but buying a second set of wheels for winter tires has worked great for me on several BMWs in the last 15 years. And contrary to what many may think, we don't get all that much snow here in Chicago - maybe just a little more than NYC. Even still, winter tires work well in the cold, even without much snow and ice.
I just think that with a perfmance machine like the E60 you can get so much more out of it when it is set up with great tires that match the conditions.
That's just my 2 cents worth.

Ok, how about keeping the stock setup tires and wheels for the winter and the 2nd set with Michelin PS2's or Michelin Pilot Sports.
Anyone else have suggestions on summer tires?

My Ride: 2006 BMW M5, Silverstone with black extended leather, brushed aluminium trim, Nav Pro, Logic 7, PDC, 35 % tint.
I agree. One of the most important parts of your car is the tires, this is where the machine hits the ground. All seasons are by nature a compromise.
My car came with continental A/S, which are now stored in my basement. I use goodyear eagle F1 GSD3's in summer and Dunlop M3 runflats in winter (I hate changing a flat in - 40 weather).
I think good tires are the best investment you can make in a car. You should check out tirerack.com for good reviews and prices.

Go for good summer tires like Bridgestone Potenza RE 50, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Continental SportContact2 or even the GoodYear F1 GS-D3.
You fine car "lives" on the four tires, so why not get the best?
Then buy some nice spikeless winter tires for the ice'n'snow.
Michelin and Continental (and Nokian) have good choices for this.
