I have the tan interior too and the black AW mats, I like the way the black mats compliment the upper dash, steering, and misc black items in the interior.
+1 Looks just like it was designed for black mats...

I used to carry a pair of driving shoes in my car. I sin on the seat, changes shoes, and place my work shoes in the shoebox on the passenger floor. Reverse order for exiting. My car had black carpet and i hated having to vacuum up all the lint and leaves i'd track in to the car.

Einstein- I apprecaite your frankness but you really don't need to confess to all of us that you "sin on the seat..."

If you can't live with black (which I think looks nice with the contrast) then get a set of beige weathertech custom fit mats. Check these out: http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp.aspxI have bought various weather tech mats and cargo trays for other vehicles and always very impressed with the fit and quality.

I also agree with the "just buy new mats once a year" philosophy, but the problem is you still go crazy every time you look at them because they mark up from day one.

I have had beige carpets in the past (not BMW) and always hated the maintenance involved. My current set up is BMW all weather mats in the rear due to the kids and in the front I have the nice thick M5 mats (black). I have always used all weather mats in all my cars and was always concerned about wear and water on the mats so it's ironic that now that I have the nicest car I've ever owned, I just use the floor mats straight up.

Does anyone know of any RHD options?
I have just been quoted $500 through a dealer here in Australia!

I also recommend aw rubber or plastic mats.

both of my 7er and 5er' s original floor mats are still in plastic wraps (never been used).

I got bmw oem all weather rubber mats for the 7er.

as for my e60, i got weathertech' s floor liner (more expansive than bmw oems but its worth it ) for the front and bmw oem aw rubber matts for the rear.
