Thanks for the info and trying to help with my question/issue. But, if you go here and here, then you will see that I understand the things you are talking about. And, I think that you missed my question/issue. Here it is again:

"Have you ever noticed that rolling 5 MPH to 60 MPH typically is slower that 0 MPH to 60 MPH in one of the mags. I forget which mag frequently does 5 MPH to 60 MPH, in addition to 0 MPH to 60 MPH, and the former times always are relatively slow. I have never been able to reconcile this fact with the CD rolling start results--since they are very much like the 0 MPH to 60 MPH results of the other two big-3 US mags.
Hi Znod - The 5-60 runs should always be slower than the 0-60 runs for the reasons I stated. It shouldn't matter which car magazine is doing the testing. The clutch drop adds a huge amount of energy from the rotating mass of the engine/flywheel assembly. So, if you cut this out on the 5-60 run, you are going to lose the benefit of this and run slower.

As far as the differences between magazines, my belief is that some of these folks are simply mediocre drivers.

For example, I also own a 2006 Z06. The Chevy spec is 11.7 with their test drivers. The current edition of Road and Track shows it runs 12.0. Consumer Reports tested it and got an 12.3.

So, I took my car to MIR last weekend and ran an 11.46.
(
).

Then, a well known fellow named Ranger - the top driver for Corvettes - got in my car immediately after my run and knocked out an 11.29. (!).

So, with this kind of variance, you have to chalk it up to the skill level of the drivers -- and the magazines obviously employ drivers at different competencies. So, when you look at inconsistent performance numbers from the magazines, please keep this in mind.

And, for Octee and someone else above. Octee have you every told us what the truck turns?
Znod, are you referring to top speed here? Stock it's top speed is 107, I believe. However, we have a speed governor installed so the odometer stops at 90... not sure what top speed is in the truck anymore...
