I don't pay attention to the other displays because of the HUD, but the warning message is there, JDN.

I feel really annoyed to when I just turn on the ignition and want to see what time it is. Both clocks are covered by Seat Belt warning (in dash) and something else. BMW should at least leave the one in i-Drive alone. I can still live with it, but it's a little stupid

Hhhmm.. sounds like there is another difference between US spec E60's and German spec E60's: I only get the seat belt warning when I start driving, after about 100 meters of driving.

What i meant was seat belt warning sign in red :bashwall:
You're right, warning chimes will goes off after speedometer hits 20mph and 100m or so.

Sorry for saying it, but this IS different in the US. I get the seat belt warning sign in red when I get the chime, not earlier than that...

that is my exact problem, I come out of soccer practice. and first thing i want to see is what time it is. But the stupid seatbelt warning comes up

I have the perfect solution, it works for me, I buckle beofre I turn the car on.
i-Drive seems to get to the accept screen sooner by doing that.
