Ticking Sound from speakers
#1
I had the windows on my 2007 550i with L7 tinted at a local shop yesterday. When I picked the vehicle up I noticed the clock was needing setting, apparently having to keep the key in drained the battery and it needed a boost.
When the car was running I heard a ticking sound from the speakers, no other sound would come through and the stereo was otherwise silent.
The tinter admitted after I questioned what happened that the noise began when he applied the rear window tint but he said it was a non metallic tint and should not effect anything. I then noticed the rear parcel shelf was damp, this happened during the application process. He agreed to foot the bill for repairs when I asked him if he was insured.
I left the car running for a while with the heat on when I got home and the stereo is now working and there are no signs of further problems.
Does anyone think I should contact the dealer and have the vehicle looked at? I'm assuming it was the dampness that somehow shorted out or something similar the speakers.
Thanks
