Looking forward to the pics. What kind of tires did you get?

Congratulation! Beautiful wheels. As a former 172 owner here is a cleaning tip that worked for me: Get a set of good quality wooden chop sticks. I found that a terry rag over the chop stick is the perfect size to slide in the narrow slots.

Also, get some low dust pads (I used axxis pads). Enjoy!

I bought Conti Extreme Contact tires. Non-runflats.

Great tips. I've heard they are a bitch to clean. Before and after pictures this coming Friday.

They are installed and looking mighty fine. I will say the car steers different with the new staggered setup and non-run flats. Pics to follow.

Tire sizes per TireRack website (correct?):

Front: 245/35ZR19
Rear: 275/30ZR19 <---- no rubbing right?

What brand is decent? I was thinking about the Continential ExtremeContact DWs. Any feedback?
I have the exact combination of sizes you have on yours, i can confirm there are no rubbing problems, and i run Continental Sports Contact NRF if it helps.

Well, had some vibration after leaving the porsche dealership. Went back to have them look at the balance again and they noticed that one of the OEM rear wheels has a nice warp. They missed it with the lid down when the balance machine was spinning. I bet it warps 3-4mm when spinning. The inside of the rim is true but the outside is not. A replacement is being sent out today. How could this get past BMW QC?

On another note, the tech said the Coni Extreme Contact tires do have a higher than normal road force when compared to the PS2s they put on my of the 911s. It was not out of range but was on the high side.

What a train wreck of a project.
