I did consider the USB option, but as I spend so much of my time in the car on the phone I'm happy with radio and CD changer. I'm upgrading the standard stereo to the BMW Hi-Fi loudspeaker system though and am giving DAB digital radio a bash (although I suspect that it will be 'patchy' for the next year or so). I should also confess to not owning an MP3 player although both my kids do. As they travel in the car so infrequently, they can make do with the aux input (probably better as they can control the music on their ipods - dads and idrive being far too slow!).

Delighted to hear that you have the 244 style alloys and that you're pleased with them. I really dislike the standard 243 style (I don't think they suit the E60) whereas the 10-spoke and 'dished' effect of the 244's has to be the best ?80 I'll spend in a while!

By the way, I bet your Jet Black car with sun protection glass looks fabulous! I did contemplate it myself, but decided that I'd be forever irritated at it always looking dirty (I hate cleaning cars and drive 35k a year) and I like to see the pale leather through the rear screen (odd, I know!)
