My Ride: 2004 545i/ Olive Green/ Beige Dakota Lthr/ Sport Pkg/ Premium Pkg/ Cold Weather Pkg/ Dark Polpar trim/ Logic7/ Comfort Seats/ Rear Comfort Pkg/ Steptronic/ Euro red reflectors/ iPod Interface
I received a "take into the shop" notice from BMW, regarding my TCU. I have an 04 545i, has anyone else recieved this notice. If so what was the deal?

I received one also on my 2005 545i.

My Ride: 2004 545i, 6-speed Manual, Silver Grey Metallic, Grey Dakota Leather, Cold Weather Pkg, Premium Sound Pkg, Sport Pkg, Lumbar Support
I rec'd the "recall" letter from BMW NA, and I phoned the dealer to confirm that since I did not have any integrated comm/nav, my affected systems were inactive anyway. We decided that it was not a pressing issue, and that they could take care of it at the next scheduled mx service.
