Does anyone of you have tank noise?
When i brake a little bit harder i hear a strenge BANG from the back of my car?
I went to service and thay told me that that's the fuel bumping in my tank which is normal thing.
But I din't think that can't be true, I think that's something else but i don't know WHAT!
Firstt i was thinking that something is bumping in my trunk but my trunk is empty!
Does anyone else has that kind of problem?
Can it really be true that this sound is normal?

Welcome aboard, Djovani !

I've never noticed a sound like that on mine, nor on a loaner.

Wasnt there a few posts on this? If I remember correctly the dealer said the same thing. I noticed the other person who reported the BANG also had a 530. Do a Search... I havent noticed it either in the 545... but then again I always have the radio on... how loud is it?

My dad hada simil problem in his SL. THe gas tanks contains many dividers and sections for somereason. One of the dividers/partitions broke loose and was banging around while we were driving. It was a clunking noise and continued when the car stopped.

Those dividers are probably there to help prevent the fuel from sloshing around too much and making the guage needle go up and down when turning or speeding up or slowing down. But if they were loose and making noise, they aren't working right and the tank probably needs to be replaced.....
