As I have said before, I am looking to trade up to a 535. Other than one having the sport package and a different color (black versus space gray), they are pretty much the same. However, the sport package vehicle was a fleet vehicle. Both are CPO, with ~35k on the OD. Should I be concerned about it being a previous fleet vehicle? I mean, I know if this was my company car I would have driven the heck out of it..the other car, without sport package, is a local owner..

Appreciate your feedback..

How well do you know the local owner?
Do you know how he drives?

If not, I don't think it matters much.
Besides, both cars are under warranty so if they had a problem, they would have been taken in for free repairs.
If they develop an issue after you get it, again, they are under warranty.

Best of luck.

PS. Do a carfax on both.

If you just wanted the sport suspension mainly, you'd be better off just keeping your current car and getting a set of coilovers instead.

Mainly interested in the twin turbo engine versus my NA 6cyl...Sport package is nice, but not a deal breaker..

Many times a lease car shows up as a fleet vehicle, as it's technically part of BMW's lease "fleet".

Should be fine. My car was a fleet too. Also had frame damage. I just found out about that last month with Autocheck when I posted my car up for sale. Owned it for 3 years and no major problems.

I would be more worried about the HPFP issue.

I've read on a few threads and posts that there's a huge influx of hpfp inventory going out to dealerships and n54 hpfp recall letters going out...hopefully this latest hpfp is the fix and the 10yr/120K miles warranty won't be needed/used...

Called BMW today and asked about the applicable recalls on both vehicles. Found out the only open recall is an computer reprogram for the HPFP issue...kinda makes me nervous given most folks with 2007 built 535's had to have the HPFP and/or the injectors replaced...
