First all BMWFS leases come with Gap insurance...
Don't put the money down as Cap reduction money , but use it as MSD or Multiple Security Deposits, you can put down up to 7 of them that = roughly a monthly payment rounded up. These lower the Money factor, and you get the money back at the end of the lease. Many dealers don't talk about it or don't know how to do them.

2010 dealer pricing on 5's, it's in a public forum so hear goes, but delete if necessary

Also you need to do your research on the N54 motor before getting a 535i.
check your pm's.

haHAS NOT BMW FIXED THE HPFP for 2010?
In your position, I'd test drive the 535 and 550 and then make a decision.

Out of all the 535 TT motors? How many actually have bad HPFP? Or is it that all the 535TT are tough? I do not understand? This has to mean that the 335 are having HPFP problems too.

The warranty was put on the engine in all of its cars -- the 135, the 335 and the 535. I know someone who has had his replaced multiple times in his 535. If you used the search function for HPFP, you should find many threads on which members here have had HPFP problems. Some members here have reported the HPFP failure in their 535s.
If you want a more complete response, you might want to start a thread with a title asking if members have had HPFP failures.

The problem is with the part in that engine and it is not limited to a partcular model. And yes, 535s have this problem as well.

MY take on car deals is that no matter how great a deal you make, there's always a salesperson wringing his/her hands and high-fiveing his/her peers on what a great deal he/she made for the dealer. If it feels like a good deal to you, than it's a good deal.
