Hey Everyone,

Please let me know if you've taken in your car for any of the following problems and what actions were taken by the dealer to resolve. I'm fed up with my car having these issues and I'm finally taking it in. BTW, it's still under full warranty.

1) Humming wind noise coming from the windshield during high speeds.
2) Squeeling brakes.
3) Sunroof makes a loud snapping noise on occassion when opening.
4) Driver side window trim (bottom piece) seems to be unglued or is coming off.

Try searching the forum for these issues, three out of the four have been much talked about. Numbers 1,2 and 3 have all been covered here before. There is a BMW bulletin about the brakes with faulty sensors causing the squealing. The windshield noise others have had as well but some report problems getting the dealer to acknowledge the issue. Likewise the popping noise from the sunroof has been around, can't recall if there is an official bulletin about though. As for the trim, should be simple enough to correct. Good luck...

I've had problems 1 and 3.

Problem 3 was fixed by the dealer and there is a SIB out for that. They just have to file down a plastic piece in the sunroof.

Problem 1 was fixed by itself or it just hasn't come back. I would hear a whistle at about 110 mph. Then, I searched the forum and I recall something about the seals around the windshield (and also the issues of having the dealer to confirm because they'd have to drive over 100 mph to hear it). But it went away and hasn't come back. And it's been confirmed at 110, 120, and 130 mph Just don't know if she'll whistle above 130 though.

Have two of the issues, but havn't yet had time to take it in.

Ive had the brake squeal; which seems to get worse as the tempertaure gets higher.

And the headliner fabric where it attches to the dashboard has come loose on the passanger side.
