I always turn my headlight switch clockwise to turn on the lights. What exactly does the anticlockwise selection do?

And in Idrive what does the "daylight lights" .. 20 sec or 30 sec timing do?

That's for auto..so it uses the light sensor built into the rear view mirror mount to decide when to turn the lights on and off.

I believe that also turns on the function for the bi-xenons to swivel up and down and left/right to follow the contour of the road...in the right position, that is turned off.

If you put in postion 3 or counter clockwise position the drl(daytime running lights) option turns on your AE during the day. The time section is for your how long your greeting lights are on when you unlock the car or touch the door handles with the CAS.

Cool. I did not know this. However I always put my lights on position 3 and let them do there thing. The adaptive lights are pretty cool.
