Have you noticed any change in performance since removing the intake flaps?,
Why did you do it, you have the modified flaps which should not cause the problems on earlier engines? Have you heard of problems on the newer flaps?

Like you said it; should not cause problems... But yes, there have been cases with the modified swirl flaps too.

Removing the flaps will not affect the performance any way.
