I noticed something different about my car today. I noticed that the front left wheel/tire has more space between the tire and the fender compared to the right. Complicating things is that I took my AFE out a couple days ago and that thing weighed a ton, I am condifent that it was weighing that front edge down a bit making this less noticable. I remeber reading long tim ago that bwm sets the e60 up like this because once the driver is in than that weight adds to the front left and levels the suspension.

I cannot think why else all of a sudden I am noticing this. Unless a suspension part can just break? I notice absolutely no difference in driving, ride, no sounds etc.

Are you looking at the front of the car? So the drivers side is lower?

Because I recently noticed the same thing on my car, except its the passenger side that is lower. And I don't have anything that would weigh it down like your AFE. It was right after I drove down to Southern California, and I hit a few unavoidable pot holes (I cringe when that happens). I took it in to the dealership and they said they couldn't find a problem.

Maybe it is what you say, that BMW did it intentionally, but it was over a year since I purchased the car that I noticed, and I probably would have noticed it before.

Maybe it is a broken suspension or something, but as you said, my car drives fine as well, and I didn't notice any difference.

Is this the first time you have noticed this?

Is the car lowered? If so, check and make sure the springs are seated properly on both sides. If thats good, check and see if the strut is bottomed out into the bottom of the spindle assembly on both sides. If yes, you can lift the strut on the lower side of the car a little higher at the bottom of the spindle assembly.

Theres my .02 cents.

its normal guys for the passenger side of the car to be slightly lower. as the driver sits in the car, the car becomes level. plus the battery and gas tank is on the right side of the car.
