sunroof problems

hey maybe someone can help me i have a 2005 545..my sunroof wount close off the tilt setting,when i press the button it closes and opnes back up,,,helllppppp

My buddy is parts manager at BMW dealer. I have the same problem on my '04. He said BMW has put out a bulletin about this. It is a common problem. Recommended repair is to shave excessive plastic from somewhere around the window opening. He said it is listed as a half-hour repair at the dealer.

That sounds scary. Shave a bit too much off and it's leaky leaky time.
