This has already been discussed here with some pictures and documents etc..

I just did mine today and it $60 for the part and a half hour of my time. Someone noted above it's only $400 to have the dealer do it. Well to that, I'd say I'm out 30 minutes of my day vs the time having to wait at the dealer and up $340. I'm not incredibly mechanically inclined beyond the average oil change, but this is a no brainer.

Oh one more thing. If you are still under warranty of CPO, they will do this n/c.

Well, the car is still under CPO warranty and they would not repair it. Should I try another dealer?

Did it myself over the weekend. Total of about 45 min. Hardest part was removing old adhesive. I would suggest to let it sit out in the heat in order to loosen old seal and adhesive. Stealer wanted 1.5 hours of labor (total of about $300 with parts). New seal cut wind noise about 80%. Feels like I'm driving a new BMW. Good Luck!

Sounds good.

Something else I've noticed, the wind noise (howl) I experience between 47 and 57 or so MPH is there even with the sunroof completely open. I adjusted the roof Sunday and while it helped a little, the noise is still there. It deson't appear that the sunroof actually makes the noise, just lets it in with the old seal, which I will replace this Fri or Sat.

Anyone else experience a howling noise (like wind in a tunnel) at certain speeds even with the sunroof open?

I did mine this weekend. The difference in wind noise is amazing. I wish I replaced it sooner. Be careful to not put too much weight on the roof though. I put a small dent in the roof from my hand or elbow .

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Did you also adjust the alignment of the roof itself? If so, did you just do it by eye or use a tool?

One last question. I am ready to install the new seal, but as someone said, the geometry is different. The cross section looks like the letter d, fatter at one edge. Which side, wide or skinny, goes to the top (outside of window).
