My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets. First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

I took delivery of a new 320, about 20 years ago, at noon and left for a Friday afternoon picnic at Saratoga. Half way there, I ran into a storm with hail strong enough to crack my windshield, so you can imagine how scared I was of the body. Well, it came through just fine, and after the windshield was replaced, it was basically as good as new again.

Glad it worked out for you too.

True! Years ago, I left my Acura in Chicago O'Hare airport parking and got about 200 hail dents. Funny part was that I left my car on the less-populated open top floor as I figured it would be less likely to get door dinged! :'(

They ended up replacing almost every body panel with a full repaint - cost several thousand dollars.
