I am afraid to go look at my poor car. We just caught one of those lovely pop up thunderstorms that we have and it involed 1-2" hail. Oh well, that's why we have insurance I guess.

I've driven through some very large hail storm last July, and it wasn't bad as far as damage. My car was dentless. like nothing happened. I was scared too when I heard all the banging on my roof and Hood. I, like everyone else on the interestate were driving like 1-5 miles an hour and occasionally moving to the shoulders when visibility was very low. During the storm I was looking at my outside temp guage and I saw it drop from 98 degrees to 40 degrees very fast. After the storm was over that lasted about 20 Min the sun came out and the temperture went back up to mid 80s.

Was weird.

:'( I'm still on my shift, will go look at the car in about 1 hr. God, I hope it's 20% kryptonite. If it's bad, I'll post pics. Cross your fingers.

Small to medium hail won't dent your car, unless you are driving interstate speeds.

Large hail is a different story... but you'll only see large hail in the midwest USA.... not anywhere else, really.

How do you get your pics on this site. Apparently my pics are too large to download. Is there a method of downsizing the pixels?

If you do an "export" or "save as" in your program it should give you a few options. One, you should save as a .jpg file. Then if it gives you a size or resolution save it as a max six vertical or horizontal 1000 pixels. This should make it uploadable.

HA...Ha...ha.....It is, it is, it is Kryptonite. I cleaned the car well today and other than a small divot in the plastic grill from rock leaving truck or something of that nature it is fine. I can't see even a chip in the paint. Some of the hail was 2". All I can say is WOW! I am happy it was ok.
