I noticed the same sound today so the logical first choice will be checking the P/S fluid level.

Yes, that was my first thought. I have checked when it happened. However the ps tank is full although i noticed some minor leaking around the ps fluid reservior.

Ive got the same problem. It makes a screeching noise when I turn the steering wheel, sometimes its louder than usual.

A screeching noise is far more severe, in my opinion, than the noise patzizi08 and I are experiencing, the video perfectly reflects our 'noise concern' and it is not screeching. Have you checked your PS fluid level yet and/or had your car checked yet? I am sure we would like to know if and what you found if anything.

Let us know please,
Gregg

It's a known, i.e. searchable, issue. The dealer has bulletins detailing the trouble shooting procedures. There are some cheap fixes and then there is replacement of the whole steering rack...which is what they had to do to fix my CPO '04 under warranty.

A non-recall issue I presume?

Clock spring? Mine makes noise only in cold weather until cabin temp comes up a bit.

Mine only does it every so often. I've checked the power steering fluid and its fine... Not sure what it is making the noise, but it hasn't bothered me so i'm not too concerned.
