Hey guys, I've had this issue with my car playing MP3 discs. I have an 05 545 with Professional Nav and Logic 7 (09/04 build). The issue is that the CD drive usually doesn't play MP3 discs whereas the DVD slot plays them with no problems. This wouldn't normally be a huge issue for me, but I like having access to Nav and MP3. I've gone through Lomag's tutorial on burning but to no avail.

I HAVE had the CD slot play an mp3 disc a couple times, but sometimes I would get back in the car after work and it wouldn't work anymore (pops up with the Invalid Format error message). Any ideas as to how to remedy this? The software was updated about 6 months ago so I don't think that should be an issue, but who knows!

Any help would be great, thanks!

Have you tried using a different burner or a different brand of blank CD-Rs?

I have had the same issue. They key is the MP3 disc. There seems to be a major issue with how the lens pickup reads it in the main CD slot. I solved my problems by using only Maxell CDRs for all MP3s. I use Nero for burning at the SLOWEST speed possible. The mp3 is not the issue so you can use whatever format or quality you want...

Sticking with this formula has worked fine for me.... Hope it does for you as well.

Thanks for the advice... I've tried a couple brands of discs and my home and work computers.. I also only use Nero at 4x burn speed. I guess I'll keep hunting for the right formula!
