Its the hourly chime, you can turn it off with your i drive.

 

Thank you to this forum -- I have been wondering about this for a while now. I was thinking up all kinds of theroies about the beep down. Everything from Cell tower changes via bluetooth to satellite issues with siruis. Now that I know I feel like today was a good day.

Now to figure out the clicking from the in dash cd slot when getting in the car, that doesn't sound healthy.
