Storage space under CD slot?

I just got a new 530xi with Nav, and I noticed that I do not have the storage space/bin below my cd slot (which also has the DVD slot on my car). I'm guessing it's because they needed more space for the Nav/DVD drive. Does anyone know if this is true, or can I order the trim piece that has the storage space and use it?

Your not missing anything by not having the slot. I have it and it is totally useless unless the car is not moving. Everytime I put something in there, it flys out when I accelerate. (Pens are the worst!) :thumbsdown: They should have designed the slot with more downward anlge to prevent this.

That's correct and you can't retrofit it.
Behind it is the CCC. No space for the storage, only without nav or with nav bus, because you then get the MAS-K instead of the CCC and there is space.

my cd storage space is in the trunk *(even though the cd changer is in the glove compartment!)
