Afternoon 5er's. I have a problem, and short of taking it to the dealer I'm wondering if there is an easy fix. My 2006 530xiTouring has a auto transmission, and on cold or even chilly mornings, it takes more effort than it should to shift into S/M mode on the auto lever. Shifts fine all the way from Park to Drive, but try to shift it over to S/M or shift manually, and its like I'm trying to push the lever through molasses. Once the car is sufficiently warmed up (the interior, not the engine), shifts fine again.
I hear there is a similar problem with the SMG box, but has anybody had this on the auto box, and if so, how did you get it resolved. Dealer was skeptical last time, have to take it in on a colder day. Thanks.
