V8 cars can start off on 3rd gear. Depending on EGS adaptive software it will select which gears is suitable for your driving style. If you were to drive like you granny it'll select 3rd, if Schmacher, it'll select 2nd. Don't worry too much about it.

[/quote]Humm maybe someone with the V8 should try accelerating harder and then comming to a stop faster and then see if it selects 2nd and then drive like a grannie and see if it selects 3rd..
