Can anyone help with this please,

I need to find the service bulletin / puma case details for E60 steering wheel sqeak / vibration at low speed. My car E60 March 2006 has been in to the stealers twice and on the first occasion the lubrication applied seemed to have resolved the problem, however after a few weeks the fault returned, admittely not as prominate as before but definately back again.

On return to the stealers, they say they have re-lubricated the steering again, however I don't think they did anything.

I am now trying to find the related service bulletin / puma case details for this fault and would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the same problem and my friend who is a master technician at BMW said it just needed a ?15 ($30) bottle of additives added to the steering fluid reservoir.

Not sure if that?s what they have already done but I will be popping in to see him soon to get it added.

It only happens when the engine is hot, it?s degradation of the steering fluid.

They already have done that and the squeak remained.

But hey presto, over the last few days it has disappeared...!!! -
(mind you outside temp has been alot colder)

I'm worried it will come back in the spring / summer and the car is out of warranty.

Still would like to see the associated PUMA case for this.

Come on someone out there must have the details of the puma case.

The stealers still haven't resolved this (third attempt), even after their master tech has replicated the fault, declaring it as a boot at the bottom of the steering rack inside the car that need greasing, but the tech doing the work couldn't appartently replicate the fault until he went to park it up when I went to collect it.

Nightmare...

They've now raised a case with BMW and will let me know when they repsond..... yet another 2 days at the stealers.
