I have the same problem. The technicians spent a lot of time to try fixing it with alignment but they couldn't. They are still looking for a solution... I keep you posted.
You need to find a competent alignment tech personnel. I had recently gotten an alignment when I switched to my new wheels/tires. But last week I noticed that my steering wheel was slightly off. Having paid for a 5-year alignment program (3rd-party), I took my car in last Thursday. The tech noted that one of the front was slightly loose, leading to the steering wheel being off-center. Aside from that, everything else was up to spec. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes.

I paid about $160 for my 5-year program. I can take advantage of as many alignments as I wish. They also have the new machines which includes the specs for E60 with active steering. Another plus is that they have a drive-in flat ramp, so no worries about scratching my front bumper spoiler

I currently have a similar problem. My steering is cocked to the right. I need to get an alignment, stat. Dealer charges too much for this IMO.

My steering wheel is slightly off to the right. Just enough that if I take my eyes off the road for an instant, the car goes to the left. We must share incompetent techs!
