I can't imagine this problem not being covered under warranty. Also, is there any possibility of this collapsed emblem interfering with or puncturing the airbag? If so, I think a recall would be appropriate, if not, then I suppose they should just fix them under warranty and possibly strengthen the structure.

BMW is so proud about their products, they even put the logo on the engine... Therefore, I think it IS covered under warranty!
