My steering wheel adjustment cable snapped it is locked in its highest position. I can still adjust steering wheel forward and back just not up and down. Dealership told me the cable snapped for the up and down movement and I would have to replace the whole steering column. Anyone with experience with this before? I figure it would be a few hundred bucks for the cable but they want the whole steering column replaced. Im going to take it to an indy shop for second opinion but wanted some members feedback first.

 

Was there ever a resolution to this problem?
