A deep knocking noise as tyre passes from kerb or bad surface or as you park up to walking line.

Hmmmm... a knocking sound doesn't sound good. Maybe there are some worn out suspension parts or rubber gaskets on joints and they allow some backlash on certain parts.

Part numbers 11 and 16 for example:

Here's my simple method to look for worn suspension parts:
- lift the car up
- take a good grip of your right/left front/rear wheel --> shake left and right --> if you can feel/see any backlash, possible damage in wheel bearing
- if it's the wheel bearing, you should feel/see the backlash when shaking the wheel vertically too --> if there's not any backlash vertically, the problem probably locates in suspension parts
- if the problem is in the wheel bearing, the another way to be sure about it is to ask a friend to press the brake pedal while you're shaking the wheel --> again, if it is the wheel bearing, the backlash should disappear when the brake pedal is being pressed

Check the suspension:
- the car still up on a lift
- shake all suspension parts and watch the joints --> very highly you will see the backlash if it's there
- to see the the track rod better you have to remove some plastic covers
- also check the shock absorbers for leaks.

Note! When shaking the front wheel, there shouldn't be any backlash!

I don't know the steering box, but lubricating the suspension is something I have never heard??? Which parts?
All joints are closed structures.

edit: If you have a possibility, check the suspension by yourself. There shouldn't be any backlash anywhere and you will find it out by shaking and twisting those parts pretty easily.

Great.

Of course every part will move a bit when using some force, but by a backlash I mean a clear gap that you can see or feel in a joint. I noticed some backlash on my right front wheel this summer, and by shaking and twisting suspension parts I quickly found out that it was the part 16 in a pic above.

If you can find worn out parts on left and right side, I think it is a certain sign that the car has seen more road than those few kms you mentioned in another thread.
