Default Steering rack corrosion

I was investigating steering rack play on my car. Found out my inner Tie rods was worn out. However I noticed allso a lot of corrosion (see pictures) on the teeth on the rack. Do anybody experienced this? Any advice what to do with it or leave it as is?
The car is a E60, 2004, 520IA

I have no idea what the servo oil system is. I thought we were talking about the rack and pinion which is the steering system.
