I have a catch or "bump" when turning the steering wheel in either direction. I took it to the dealer and they said the steering colum will need to be replaced. They want $700 to do so. I am trying to avoid having the dealer fix this problem. I read on other posts that others have lubed the column to fix this problem. Does anyone have a DIY or photos of where to look so I can attempt to fix this problem myself?

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

My car is same year and model, I had a "clunk" sound, it was very obvious when trying to parallel park, specially on a down hill or uphill. Here's a thread on my issue
