[/quote]But if you don't insert your key into the fob, wouldn't the battery runs out and you can't open your door? The new key uses rechargeable battery and I am not sure if the key of the car equiped with the comfort access option is different, maybe is similar to the Lexus's system that it uses those calculator battery but I highly doubt that they would make two different key for the same car.

I agree, but it may be for the 2007 model year. BMW can always price it into the base price.
In 6 months, comfort access will be standard.? They know that when something like this first comes out, they can get an extra $1000 out of guys like me who can't wait a few months to order the car!

I'm glad I don't have the button. If I would have it I would have gotten the comfort access too, what creates more problems, such as "unlock drivers door only" and still need the remote key to let passengers in... 
It is the one option I absoultesly don't miss at all! Thank God...

However, you need to "Accept" the warning displayed on i-Drive before you can use i-Drive functions. The warning really isn't the big deal that people who don't have think it is (gosh, that was bad eengleesh).
