As with most bright systems, the L7 sounds a little better with smaller scale music: solo voice and guitar, small ensembles, mellow bop. To my ears it doesn't seem optimized for any classical that isn't small and intimate (chamber or solo instrument stuff). Same for rock and country.

In my experience, forget Harmon Kardon and Bose. They're awful. Denon, JBL, and even Pioneer are miles better for standard consumer audio.

For very obvious reasons, AV is subjective.

Sure, we all have opinions, but in the end its our own experience which determines what suits us.
